Semester Project Part One

Due 12:00noon November 6, 1998 -the ninth week of class- Late submissions will NOT be evaluated

Five(5) perfect -yes, that means spotted- 8x10 or larger black and white prints.

These images must be printed using a developer that you have mixed from scratch -that means no Dektol, Selectol or any other packaged developers. All five images must have a consistent theme and be printed using the same paper and developer combination. Also a brief paper (50 words or less) describing why you chose your particular the paper and developer combination.

Extra credit: Use a developer formula that I did not supply.

Hints: There are more formulas for warm tone developers. If you use a warm tone developer you might want to use a paper such as Ilford Multigrade Warmtone, Agfa Portriga, Kodak Ektalure or the Warm Forte paper. Showing the instructor that you tested . different paper and developer combinations can really help your grade

Formulas can be found in publications such as "Camera and Darkroom", Darkroom Cookbook, Photographic Facts and Formulas.
